Power Sector :The recent trend in the domain of power distribution and supply has been for State Electricity Boards to be split up into 3 entities – for generation, transmission and distribution. These State Electricity Boards, which have become conscious of the trend for private sector participation and also limited budgetary support from the Government, have launched ambitious projects to keep their customers satisfied and loyal to themselves. One of these initiatives is to establish Consumer Facilitation Centers (CFCs), similar to the Citizen Facilitation Centers established by Municipal Bodies. ABM has successfully executed a pilot order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) for setting up and operating 50 CFCs. This trend is expected to spin off in other states too.

Water Sector : Similarly, the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, has issued broad directives advising all government agencies involved in transportation, distribution and supply of water to out-source these functions – mainly due to the constraints faced by these bodies in making fresh investments to augment and upgrade the existing infrastructure. ABM, with its vast experience in this area, developed through the implementation of its software product - ABM AQUA™ in Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, KDMC and Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (a Govt. of Maharashtra body involved in supply and distribution of water along with the associated billing and collection activities) is ideally poised to exploit the opportunities that are expected to present themselves in this vertical. Private agencies, which would be implementing such projects, would be keen to procure ready-made, tried & tested software applications like ABM AQUA™, which would be ideally suited to their requirements of billing, payment collection and accounting activities.

ABM’s solution for CRM for Electricity Distribution Companies (ABM CFC ®):   
A leading  State Electricity Distribution Company ( with 15 Million consumers distributed in approximately 550 Subdivisions offices across State) has standardized on ABM’s CRM software for managing redressal of consumer grievances & consumer applications in a time bound manner. It is running successfully at 50 subdivisions and is  being evaluated for roll out to cover entire state. It has so far successfully processed 108,000+ applications, 90,000+ complaints, more than 0.75 million transactions and has serviced more than half a million consumers.

ABM’s solution for Water Billing & Accountancy (ABM Aqua ®) :
This solution is running successfully with several  important customers for past 5 years. In all, the application  manages overall demand of US $ 250 Millions & approximately 0.3 Millions consumer base. This software provides end to end solution, for Water Billing, Accounting & Collection (Including payment gateway)
