The E-governance awareness and need has been steadily growing in India. With maturing procurement processes and learnings from past experiences, some E-gov clients have been adopting the approach of implementing ERPs. ABM has  studied some of the known successful and less successful ERP implementations in India and developing countries. Our  study has shown that the key differentiator in case of more successful projects has been the focus on ’Pragmatic BPR’, ‘Big Bang’ approach and specific strategies for ensuring ’Institutionalization’ after ‘Go-Live’  .

ABM has wide and proven  in depth experience of implementing large and successful projects in the space of E-governance. ABM thus felt it natural to extend its offerings in to the fast growing ERP space. To address these growing needs, ABM has established an ERP practice aimed at E-gov customers like Municipal Corporations, Utility Companies and any mid to large govt organization having need for enterprise wide automation using COTS.

ABM, now, has a proven experience of Executing large as well as mid sized  SAP projects, Providing Subject Matter expertise in some domains common to govt. clients  and Providing expertise needed for institutionalizing SAP in the client organization after Go Live. This expertise is significant in E-Gov space as the statistics shows that several ERP projects fail to take off due to lack of suitable Change Management strategies.

Our SAP ERP practice in Govt segment has  3 distinct segments, viz. Supply of License, Implementation of SAP and  Post Implementation support for extended periods for Institutionalization of ERP.

ABM already has a large team of SAP consultants trained on different modules of SAP required most commonly by Govt. Organizations. ABM also has plans to i

ntegrate ABM’s proven  Products & Solutions with ERPs for creating a better value proposition for customers.

The strengths which are helping ABM ,so far ,to grow in these segments are:

  • Successful Sustenance of ABM’s  e-Gov projects for many numbers of years after implementation
  • Deep understanding of the focus  domains and functioning of Govt
  • Resultant credibility with decision makers  in the State & Government of India
  • Deep understanding & proven strategies for ensuring sustenance after “Go Live” of e-Gov project.
